Aquaworld Cozumel e-Learning Open Water Certification Overview
Most people go on a tropical vacation to get away from things like paperwork and studying, so why would you want to study in a classroom while visiting the Mexican Caribbean? Why not try this great e-learning option, and get the first stage of training out of the way before you even leave for Cozumel. You won't even need any books or manuals for the theory portion of your certification program; all of your study materials will be available online with your registration. You can study and take tests on your home computer or laptop. There is not a more convenient way of beginning your scuba diving study.
After arriving at our Cozumel dive center, you will begin with the confined-water portion of your training since you will have already completed the classroom study portion of the program online. The confined water exercises take place in a swimming pool or shallow lagoon. Your instructor will supervise and offer guidance as you become familiarized with the breathing apparatus and learn how to maneuver underwater with the scuba diving gear.
After completing the confined water practice in the morning, you will be ready to head offshore in our custom dive vessel with our dive instructor for some open-water excitement. You will dive in depths of up to 60 feet on four tanks' worth of dives on your vacation.
The coral reefs on the leeward side of Cozumel Island are some of the best locations to dive in the Caribbean Sea, and perhaps, the world.

Tour Restrictions
- Before you begin any dive with us you must fill out health questionnaire which covers the main illnesses and restrictions that may prevent you from diving. Always consult your doctor before doing any new strenuous activity

- This certification takes four days to complete
- It's important to know that aside from the classroom portion of the course, you will need to read the dive book in your spare time
- It's a good idea to purchase the book and read it prior to arrival
